Medical doctor & founder, Health Xpress Doctors Ltd

Her story
Dr. Nadia Braithwaite Swamad qualified as a doctor at the University of the West Indies in 2015 and spent several years in the accident and emergency department of a public hospital in Trinidad and Tobago.
She went on to found Health Xpress Doctors Ltd — the family medical practice on the corner of Dyette Street and the Southern Main Road in Cunupia.
Under her leadership, Health Xpress offers everyday care for the whole family: consultations, on-site blood testing, ultrasound and ECG, minor procedures, support for long-term conditions and home visits for patients who can’t easily travel.
Dr. Nadia is also a familiar face on IBN TV, where she hosts episodes of Doctor in the House, and in 2025 she was one of twenty women entrepreneurs across the Caribbean chosen for the SheTrades Caribbean Grow and Go Grant — recognition of the practice’s strength and its potential to grow.
As seen on IBN TV
Dr. Nadia hosts episodes of IBN TV’s health programme, sharing clear, practical advice on preventative care, diabetes, blood pressure and more.
